7th & 8th Grade History
This year the 7-8th Grade students will be spending their first Semester learning about Geography and second Semester is spent on Montana History.
GEOGRAPHY: The class will learn about the physical geography, major events, economies and people around the world. Units are broken down by the continents. Students spend the first 10 minutes of class typing their key terms from the chapter. Key terms are graded and due the day of the test. Grades for this class will be a combination of worksheets, tests, key terms, current events worksheet and projects.
MONTANA HISTORY: The class will get a great overview of the history of our beautiful state Montana. We use the textbook Montana: Stories of the Land along with hands on history footlockers to get an in depth education on our state. Students will spend the first 10 minutes of class typing their key terms from the chapter. Key terms are graded and due the day of the test. Grades for this class will be a combination of worksheets, tests, key terms, current events worksheets and projects.
EVERY OTHER YEAR STUDENTS WILL TAKE EARLY US HISTORY
US HISTORY: This history class is the study of American History from the Nation's beginnings up thru the American Revolution. They will learn how to focus on the key ideas in American History in order to understand how we as a nation go where we are today. Grades in this class will be determined by homework, tests, key terms, quizzes, class participation, projects, papers and current events worksheets.
